Holy cow, it's been five days since my last post. And just last post, I said I'd post "every two days or so". Haha, wow. I'm a tool.
Anyway. My Megan is home again, which is something I'd been waiting for for weeks! Even though she's only here for a little over a month, she should be the extra motivation I need to keep my regimen in place. :) I broke down and had soda today. Shame on me, urgh!
On a lighter note, I've lost four pounds just since starting this blog/exercise business. Here's to progress.
I'll update again in the morning. Megan's falling asleep next to me. Bye folks.

Progress? :S
Well, so far I'm not having much luck finding any equipment for sale on the cheap, though I have my absolutely wonderful girlfriend on the prowl for such things too. (Seriously, she's amazing~) So I'll have to stick with just the jogging for now.
On a slightly unrelated sidenote, I've come to the realization that my family (immediate and non-) are all horribly unhealthy cooks, with the exception of my Aunt Rose. I went to a family gathering last night, and damn if everything wasn't fried, greasy, or dripping in some kind of unhealthy sauce. I had a small portion and decided that perhaps cooking my own meals in the future miiiiiight be the best idea. (A bit more expensive, but if it's worth it in the long run.. well, yeah.)
Anyway, I'm going to go start the annoying job of rearranging the garage, since I eventually plan on putting the fitness equipment I buy in there. Ciao, folks.
P.S.: Yes, this was a short post. I'm not really writing to capture an audience. This blog primarily serves as a way for me (and others) to track my progress and keep me motivated. I'll post at least once every two days, possibly more than once a day. Who knows?)

Introductions
These days, it seems like everyone and their sister has their own blog or Tumblr. I figured I might as well join the ranks of the bloggin' masses, and maybe turn it into something productive while I'm at it.
Those of you who know me already, know that I recently finished movin' into a little house a short distance into the countryside. It's a nice place, bigger house, bigger yard, bigger everything. It's a fresh start after stagnating in Albia for a decade.
And with this 'fresh start', I wanted to begin something that I've always toyed around with but never actively begun: becoming healthier, more fit. I'm not a small guy, at 5'10" and 250lbs., and it's time I did something about it. For my sake, as well as the sake of those I care about.
Which is where this blog comes in. My primary foe when it comes to any new resolution is motivation; so, I made this public blog where people (whether I know them or not) can view my progress. I'll *have* to continue, if for no other reason than there are people out there who will know I've failed if I don't. (I'm a pretty prideful person. :P)
So here goes. Here's my first post, and along with it my two primary goals for the moment.
Feel free to comment below with advice or what have you. More people watching means I'm more likely to keep going.

- Obtain cardio equipment; stationary bike or elliptical. (Probably going to end up buying one online, but if anyone knows of someone with one they want to get rid of, I'd love to buy used! <3 )
- Obtain freeweights/dumbbells/etc. (Back in high school, I regularly went to a little gym on the square called Iron Dreams. They drilled the importance of free weights over machines into my head. Again, if anyone knows of someone with a set to sell, used is better for me.)
